A Tastings Party is an event designed for newcomers who are curious about some different types of BDSM play. Voodoo provides several Tastings Stations, staffed by a different Presenter (Who has been vetted by the club and has attended a class regarding professional conduct, ethics and expectations we have of them.), who will provide a short, mini-scene that gives members an opportunity to experience a little about a form of play to see if they might like it or not.
Members interested in experiencing a tasting can sign up on the Presenters’ sign-in sheet and their name will be called when it’s their turn. The Presenter will talk with them about expectations and may ask some questions as part of a short negotiation process to ensure the full consent of the participants.
Event Rules
Tasting Party rules are similar to that of a Dungeon party, but due to the nature of the Tastings environment, the Dungeon will be considerably louder and more social than allowed at Dungeon parties.
All allowed forms of play at a Dungeon Party are allowed at a Tastings party and standard prohibited play rules apply. (No Scat, Watersports, Firearms, Carotid Strangulation, Cross-Contamination or Cell Phone/Recording Devices allowed)
A Tastings Party is the ONLY party in which members may engage Presenters with questions while they are engaged in a tastings Session.
Please remain respectful of other Members who aren’t involved with Tastings as they should not have their scene interrupted or be asked questions as you might engage a Presenter.
Event Expectations
Tastings nights will be evident when all of the colored lights in the Dungeon are set to blue.
BDSM play is allowed by Members and Guests at all Tastings parties, but Tastings Presenters (indicated by a sign) have priority of Dungeon space to conduct Tastings until 10pm. If Presenters don’t have anyone waiting at the end of the Tastings portion of the evening, it’s expected that they will pack up their area and that space will be available for open play.
Presenters who do have a line may decide to continue offering Tastings, however that is up to each individual Presenter.
